Why Do We Get Wrinkles?

As we get older, our bodies produce less collagen.  Collagen is a protein that provides strength and elasticity to our skin.  When we have less collagen, the decreased elasticity can lead to wrinkles, lines, and creases in our skin.   In addition to the impact of aging, ultra-violet exposure, smoking, dehydration, poor diet/nutrition, repeated expressions and more can also contribute to the appearance of our skin.

Wrinkle Reduction & Facial Anti-Aging

In our office, we use a variety of techniques and advanced technologies to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow’s feet, frown lines, blemishes, and more.  The specific treatment recommendation is customized to each individual, depending on their history, age, skin condition, problem-areas, and goals.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a type of sugar molecule found throughout the body.  About 50% of the Hyaluronic Acid in the body is located in the skin, and that makes sense, because one of its primary functions is to retain water.  This causes the tissue to stay plump and firm.  As we age, we produce less hyaluronic acid, leading to thin, lined, and even droopy skin.   And because hyaluronic acid is natural, it is one of the safest “fillers” that can be used for facial rejuvenation!

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is another treatment option for facial anti-aging.  In this process, we remove a small amount of blood from a vein.  The tube is placed into a centrifuge and spun down, allowing us to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the platelet-poor plasma.  The PRP – which contains platelets, white blood cells, cytokines, growth factors, and more – is drawn into a needle.  It is now ready to be used in our proprietary advanced anti-aging delivery system.  Our technology allows us to deliver more PRP per square inch more comfortably, thus providing optimal results.  Get ready to promote healing and anti-aging without drugs or surgery!

We’re able to combine PRP (when appropriate) with Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and/or exosomes.  These products are powerfully anti-inflammatory and contain even more growth factors to stimulate your own body to repair existing damage.  This can result in fewer lines, shallower creases, a more balanced skin tone, and firmer skin in less time

Scar Reduction

Whether you’re concerned with acne scars, chicken pox scars, or other types of scars, Regenerative Medicine options may be able to help!  Scars that create depressions in the skin, such as acne scars, respond well to hyaluronic acid and PRP for the same reasons discussed above.  However, even scars that are elevated may be improved with PRP, Mesenchymal Stem Cells, and/or exosomes.  One of our patients was bitten in the leg by a dog.  Once the initial injuries and bruising faded, she was left with palpable scar tissue about the size of a golf ball in her thigh.  Within 2 weeks of one PRP treatment, the size had reduced by 2/3.  Within a week after her second PRP treatment, the scar tissue was no longer palpable.

Hair Regrowth

before and after of successful hair regrowth procedure

Hair loss associated with aging is very common and can be a source of embarrassment for men and women.  Some people try to reduce the appearance of hair loss with hair styles, scarves, or even make-up.  Others let nature take its course, but it may be a constant source of insecurity

It’s natural to lose around 100 hairs per day.  It sounds like a lot, but since other hairs are growing, it generally balances out.  When hair loss exceeds hair growth, we start to see thinning hair.  This can be caused by follicle destruction due to skin diseases (eczema, psoriasis, etc.), medication or treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation, auto-immune issues, thyroid disease, anemia, nutritional deficiencies, and more.

If you notice a gradual and increased thinning on the top of your head, a receding hairline, a widening of the part in your hair, and/or patchy bald-spots, Regenerative Medicine may be able to help!  As long as there are still active follicles, PRP, Mesenchymal Stem Cells, and/or Exosomes can be used to stimulate the follicles to regrow your own hair, naturally. There may be no need for harsh chemicals that can further destroy your follicles, or painful and invasive procedures.

Nutritional IVs and Counseling

Since we know that nutrition plays a huge role in the health of our skin and hair, we must also address this for optimal results.  Instead of remembering to take a handful of supplements every day, we can provide necessary supplements quickly and easily in our office. Identifying and removing foods that contribute to inflammation and aging is an integral part of the recovery process, and we can help you with this, too!
